Norman Y.NEW YORK-( BUSINESS WIRE)-Today, American Express and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey announced plans to expand the Centurion Lounge Network with its first ever location at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) (4).HKG – Hong Kong Airport, Terminal 1 (1).Harry Reid/McCarran Airport (Las Vegas) (LAS) (3).Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) (4).British Airways – Business Class (Club) (2).That said, American Express didn’t let the side down with this great lounge! With that said, this is New York, and there were a lot of people in the lounge – a mixture of business people and tourists. This is a very large lounge, but was extremely busy on the Thursday morning that I visited. This lounge does have showers, 2 I believe – but they were in use during my visit, so I didn’t get a chance to look at them. The Wifi worked for me, and was fairly good during my visit, I was getting around 30mps up and down. In all honesty, I didn’t find too much that I wanted – but for ‘normal’ people who do like breakfast, I guess there was plenty of choice from hot/cold/healthy options!Īs usual, Centurion lounges have a self-service food such as sausages, potatoes, french toast, tomatoes, etc – there is no menu to order from. ![]() FoodĪnyone who knows me will know that I don’t ‘do’ breakfast. One thing the Centurion Lounge prides itself with (rightly so) is an extensive bar – and even though I was visiting at breakfast time, the wine list was available from 8:00 (or 10:00 on Sundays). Unfortunately, these rooms can be abused by people – but it’s the thought that counts, right? Food and Drink DrinksĪs usual, some of the drinks in the lounge (coffee, juices, etc) are self-service. One of the things I really like about Centurion lounges is that they have rooms for calls and some quiet time. There are a number of areas to work from, including a printer! There is large dining area, close to the self-service food area. There are plenty of areas for relaxing with a drink – including the really great ‘pods’!
